Hello, I am Aurora Dumar
I am a dual national Australian/American artist of 30+ years.
I have created this account as a slim line portfolio, to showcase selected examples of my work which reflect my array of proffesional skills.

I am the daughter of a silver/goldsmith, gemcutter, jewellery designer. and my mother spent many years producing unique textiles, screen printing, handpainted and so forth.

My early years were spent immersed in anthropology, archeology, gemology, adventure & exploration.

I have been exposed to art in many mediums through family enterprise.
I was encouraged to express myself creatively from childhood, and exposed to a variety of artisan crafts and cultures through travel & trade throughout my early years and adult life.
I come from a community of skilled artists and crafts people,
And recieved tuition at every available opportunity, 
Though I Am possesed of an inherit ability and natural eye, 
intuitive understanding of design and creation, a quick study and quite skilled with my hands. Art is the passion of my life.

I have explored many techniques and honed my own skills in design & production, pursuing interest in many fields, which I continue to build upon.
I am naturally adept in most creative pursuits with a keen eye and love working in any creative field........

Some of my own skills include jewellery design & production, lampworking, leather working, silversmithing,  printmaking, illustration, creative writing, poetry, draftmanship, graphic design, fashion design, costumery, home decor, photography, digital art, sculpture,
 Wire crafting, basket weaving, body modification, and more.

I have been a member of DA for 8 years, and have achieved good exposure of my work already. I have found much inspiration,  interesting friends and work opportunities through my contributions to this forum.
I am always open to commision work, feel free to contact me with any serious requests, though my time is limited to work I am enthused for.
